  1. Matching Null and Blank Values in a field
    To match records that have a blank or null value in a field, choose "equals" and then type "null" into the box as the value to match.

    Example Find records where loc_prefix is blank, and loc_suffix is "--".
    Loc Prefix
    Loc Suffix

  2. Using "or" to match multiple values in a field
    To create a query that matches more than one value in a field by using the pipe symbol ("|") between the values you want to match.

    Example find records where Type is either "fig" or "publ"
    Type
